Clarkston MI home sales– unit sales are down; prices are up; inventory is still low; houses are still selling quickly. In 2023 unit sales (440) were down 11% from 2022 (495) which was down 24% from 2021. Sales are down in the first quarter of 2024 (76) from the first quarter of 2023 (89). The interest rates surely aren’t helping sales, but the lack of inventory (homes for sale) is playing a big part. The good news is home prices are up. 2023 prices were only up about 2% from the previous year, but that year was up close to 10%. Average prices through the first quarter of this year are up 5.4% from 2023.
